3. encourage repeat business

Repeat business can be a reliable source of income, especially on off-season months. 

Encourage repeat business by offering returning customers a small discount.  Airbnb lets you leave a private message for your guest in the review section.  Use this portion of your review (which won’t be seen by others) to offer your guest a discount and how to go about requesting it.  I say something like “just remind me that you are a returning guest the next time you book.”

Go the extra mile for a returning guest.  Offer to stock the fridge or get some essentials for them.  Guests usually say no, but you look great when you ask.  If you notice they always eat something when they stay at your place, like a brand of cookies or orange juice, have it waiting for them next time they come back.
