Georgetown Contemporary Facelift

This 1950s contemporary home by Julian Berla did not need any serious renovation; it was just in need of a little facelift.

We brightened up the exterior with Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter on the brick and black for the garage door and window trim.  We chose a bright green for a new front door without the large window, which gave the home a dated, institutional look.  We changed the house numbers and added window boxes with new greenery.

The original metal kitchen cabinets were too perfect to replace with cheap modern imitations.  We brightened the kitchen up with white paint on both cabinets and walls, completely transforming the space.

We painted the entire house white and restained the floors with a pinkish, ashy finish that livened and updated the entire space for a relatively low price.
