Some people are obsessed with doors, others don't even see them beyond their function. Doors provide a link between rooms in a house as well as contribute with light and air circulation when open. When closed, doors provide privacy and security. Doors are an integral part of many spaces and the style, color, materials, texture and overall look and feel of a door can dramatically affect the room or structure. Following is a list of the most common types of doors in homes today.
Flush Door
Made up of plain, flat facings on both sides, flush doors are probably the most widely-used door today, especially in apartments and rentals. Flush doors are attractive, simple, strong, durable, and inexpensive, making them a favorite of builders around the world.
TIP: to add visual interest to a flush door, paint it a vibrant color, cover it with wallpaper, or add a veneer or trim
